Lactation Support Services

All lactation support services are offered by Josée Demitroff from Lactation for Leaps. Josée is a Lactation Consultant offering comprehensive breastfeeding classes, and lactation consultations in-clinic and at client homes. Virtual options are also availible based on client preference. Issues with breastfeeding and lactation are time-sensitive. Josée books lactation consultation appointments within 24-48 hours after request.

When booked in advance of the appointment date, you will be contacted prior to appointment to discuss main concerns. During your 1 hour appointment a thorough health history for both Mom and baby will be discussed. A breast assessment, baby assessment and a nursing session will be completed. Assistance to correct latch and resolving issues will be done during and after the nursing session. A plan of care will be completed and when required, handouts will be provided to the client for reference. 

A courtesy follow-up phone call is included to ensure concerns have been resolved or are resolving. This appointment also includes a one week trial of Pocket Support.

Investment: $100.00

Home visits range between 1-1.5 hours in the comfort of the client's home. You will be contacted prior to appointment to discuss main concerns. During the appointment a thorough health history for both Mom and baby will be discussed. A breast assessment, baby assessment and a nursing session will be completed. Assistance to correct latch and resolving issues will be done during and after the nursing session. A plan of care will be completed and when required, handouts will be provided to the client for reference.

You will be contacted prior to appointment to discuss main concerns. During the appointment a thorough health history for both Mom and baby will be discussed. You will be walked through how to conduct a baby suck assessment and a nursing session will be completed. Assistance to correct latch and resolving issues will be done during and after the nursing session. A plan of care will be completed and when required, handouts will be provided to the client for reference. 

A courtesy follow-up phone call is included to ensure concerns have been resolved or are resolving.  This appointment also includes a one week trial of Pocket Support.

Sometimes we just need a quick answer, not an entire follow-up appointment! Following your appointment you can add on "pocket support" for 30 days. This allows you access to text questions that arise in real-time and be provided the tips you need.

The Leaps Package is designed to support you through the early stages of your breastfeeding journey with personalized care and guidance.

This package includes:

• A 2-hour, one-on-one prenatal assessment and education session, tailored specifically to your feeding goals
• A postpartum home or clinic visit (depending on location), scheduled after delivery to provide hands-on support
• A follow-up phone call or text approximately one week postpartum to ensure you are feeling confident and on track
• 30 days of Pocket Support, offering real-time guidance via text messaging throughout your first month postpartum
