Deanna is a Doula with areas of specialty in both postpartum support and pregnancy loss. She spent many years in the Human Resource profession, where she developed the desire to support others; listen to their needs, advocate on their behalf, and implement positive change in the professional world. She wanted to find a way to blend these skills, along with her love for building meaningful relationships, with her admiration for the role as a Mother.
In her personal life, Deanna experienced a tragic loss late into her first pregnancy with her daughter. In 2019, she gave birth to her second child, a son named Jude. Her pregnancy loss story inspired her to share her experience, and be a support for others as they navigated their own unique stories to becoming parents.
Deanna is passionate about the Mother’s journey and transition after birth. Her postpartum focus has allowed her to help others as they heal and adjust to their new role. She strives to give families honest and relatable care, built on empathy and understanding. She aims to normalize pregnancy loss and postpartum needs, creating space for mothers to feel empowered by their own experiences. Deanna’s care is inspired by nature, holistic and herbal medicine, and the incredible strength of all mothers.
