Elena Richmond

Elena began her career in Massage Therapy in 2001 after graduating from the International Academy of Massage in Ottawa, Ontario. It was working at her first clinic that she was introduced to Bowen Therapy, and she was instantly intrigued and wanted to learn more about this gentle yet profound therapeutic method. It was not until 2004 that she would get the chance to start her Bowen education, studying under former Bowtech Canada President, Homeopath and Osteopath Louise Tremblay in Montreal for the next two years.

In 2007, Elena successfully passed her qualifying exam in Toronto with (then) Bowtech Senior Instructor Jonathan Damonte. Since then she has continued her studies in Bowen and related fascial techniques and applications, having completed such well known courses as Minnery’s Mother & Baby Bowen, Phelan’s Hormonal Bowen, and Garfield’s Pelvis and Lumbar Spine Musculoskeletal Technique.

Elena has also been studying and practicing Reiki since 2006, as well as successfully graduating with Honors from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition with a diploma in Holistic Nutrition in 2009.

Most of Elena’s spare time is consumed with the day to day of her family of five and their happy backyard flock of chickens!
